Solar-induced dorsal skin necrosis in sheep.
CONCLUSIONS: The findings are consistent with post-shearing, sun-induced thermal burns leading to dorsal skin necrosis. Risk factors include sunlight exposure during hot months after shearing, dark skin and obesity.
