What Patient-related Factors are Associated with an Increased Risk of Surgery in Patients with Stenosing Tenosynovitis? A Prospective Study.
CONCLUSIONS: Although patients should be counseled that their risk of progressing to surgery after an initial corticosteroid injection is lower than for subsequently administered injections for recurrent symptoms, nonoperative treatment should not be bypassed for patients with any of the studied risk factors.
