People with arthritis more likely to die of heart disease 'because joint pain stops them exercising'
The longer a patient had a diagnosis, the higher their risk became, a study by Lund University in Sweden found. Nine to 11 years of living with arthritis raised the risk of heart disease death by 16 per cent.
