Reckitt to pay $1.4 billion to end U.S. opioid addiction treatment probes

Reckitt Benckiser has agreed to pay up to $1.4 billion to resolve U.S. claims that its former pharmaceuticals business Indivior before it was spun out of the company carried out an illegal scheme to boost sales of an opioid addiction treatment.

The rapid rise of electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) use among youth subverts our traditional understanding of adolescent tobacco use, the natural history of nicotine addiction through the use of combustible tobacco, and the implications of dual use of e-cigarettes and combustible cigarettes. We examined factors associated with reporting sex with men among men who inject drugs in Vancouver, Canada. Data were drawn from three open prospective cohorts of people who use drugs between 2005 and 2014.
