Exacerbation of autoimmune uveitis by obesity occurs through the melanocortin 5 receptor.

This report demonstrates that obesity exacerbates autoimmune uveitis and inhibits the promotion of post-EAU regulatory immunity through the melanocortin 5 receptor.
