Robotic pancreas transplant offers hope for obese patients with Type 1 diabetes

(University of Illinois at Chicago) Surgeons at UI Health have demonstrated that obese patients with Type 1 diabetes can safely receive a pancreas transplant when the surgery is performed robotically.
