Unfortunately, it’s impact relating to morbidity is not well documented. Though survival rates of these critically ill children who are medically fragile and technology-dependent have improved, we as health professionals are still in learning curve to improve the quality of these children at home. Factors such as support from society, infrastructure, funding play an important role in care of these technology dependent children at home. In this review, commonly prescribed home based medical technologies like home ventilation, enteral nutrition, renal replacement therapy and peripherally inserted central catheter which are useful for quick revision are described.
