A Novel Use of Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) Score in Guiding Therapeutic Antibiotics Choice for Critically Ill Cirrhotic Patients.

CONCLUSIONS For low MELD score patients (MELD <17), changing the duration of antibiotics use was not associated with a better prognosis. For high MELD score patients (MELD ≥17), longer duration of antibiotics use was associated with a reduction in mortality.
