Patient-reported symptoms during and after direct-acting antiviral therapies for chronic hepatitis C: The PROP UP study

Patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection often report neuropsychiatric, somatic, and gastrointestinal symptoms including fatigue, sleep disturbance, musculoskeletal pain, depression, and abdominal pain.1 –3 Patients may attribute these symptoms to HCV, a chronic viral infection associated with several extrahepatic disorders.
