Kaiser, Hawaii Pacific Health, donate $2.3M to UH for medical student scholarships

To help address the growing physician shortage in Hawaii, Kaiser Permanente has become a full teaching partner with the University of Hawaii Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine, and Hawaii Pacific Health has contributed $1.5 million to fund tuition for 10 future  Hawaii physicians in the last two years. As a longtime supporter of the medical school, Kaiser recently pledged $800,000 to create scholarships that will cover the full tuition cost for five incoming Hawaii resident medical students.…
