CONCLUSION:  Major bleeding events were not uncommon during prolonged anticoagulation therapy in real-world VTE patients. Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an immune-mediated bleeding disorder in children. Activated T cells have been shown to play important roles in ITP.
