The association between gallstone disease (GSD) and the incidence of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 DM): a prospective cohort study

ConclusionOur findings suggest that GSD is more closely related to the late-phase mechanisms in the development of type 2 DM than early-phase mechanisms.
