Rozległa jamistość rdzenia współistniejąca z malformacją Arnolda i Chiariego I – opis przypadku

We present a case of a boy diagnosed at 2 years of age due to a psychomotor development delay. By physical examination on admission mild dysmorphic facial features, short neck and generalized hypotonia which presented deep tendon reflexes were observed. On the basis of magnetic resonance imaging extensive syringomyelia coexisting with the Arnold-Chiari I malformation was diagnosed. In the described child posterior fossa decompression was performed with improvement in the form of significant regression of syringomyelic cavities.
