Impaired Right Ventricular Performance is Associated with Adverse Outcome Following Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy.
CONCLUSION: Right ventricular dysfunction is associated with risk of adverse outcome in asphyxiated patients with HIE undergoing hypothermia. Echocardiography may be a valuable diagnostic and prognostic tool in this vulnerable population.
