Commentary to 'Impact of Pelvic Immobilization Techniques on the Outcomes of Primary and Secondary Closures of Classic Bladder Exstrophy'

The authors' report the outcomes of bladder exstrophy closure based on the type of post-operative immobilization techniques from patients seen at their institution. Patients included in the study were closed at both their own institution and other institutions. They conclude that success rate was highest with Buck ’s and Bryant’s traction and lowest when using spica casting. However, none of the patients who were closed with spica casting in their study population were closed at their institution.
