Cleft and craniofacial surgery training: is it time for a new solution for UK trainees?

I read with interest the editorial article entitled ‘Cleft and craniofacial surgery – how do we inspire and recruit the next generation of OMFS trainees?’1 I wanted to add my own thoughts to the debate.
