Quality Gaps in Preventative Care Provided to Outpatients With Cirrhosis at a High-Volume Tertiary Care Liver Transplant Center

High quality preventative care has the potential to improve health outcomes in patients with cirrhosis; however, most quality improvement initiatives focus on hospitalized patients. We aimed to evaluate the quality of care (QOC) provided by gastroenterology (GI) and hepatology providers to patients with cirrhosis by measuring eleven evidence-based quality indicators (QIs) focusing on outpatient preventative care and the factors associated with higher QOC.
