Conclusion: The results of present study show that hydroalcoholic extract of Z.J has an inhibitory effect on basal cardiovascular parameters and its best effects have been shown in dose 200 mg/kg.

Abstract Introduction: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is defined as an association between diabetes, hypertension, obesity and dyslipidemia and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Mitral annular calcification (MAC) is associated with several cardiovascular disorders, including coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation (AF), heart failure, ischemic stroke and increased mortality. The CHA2DS2-VASc score is used to estimate thromboembolic risk in AF. However, the association among MAC, MetS and thromboembolic risk is unknown and was evaluated in the current study. Methods: The study group consisted of 94 patients with ...
Abstract Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of CHA2DS2-VASc score in individuals undergoing isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery. Methods: Records of consecutive 464 patients who underwent elective isolated CABG, between January 2015 and August 2017, were retrospectively reviewed. A major adverse cardiac event (MACE) was the primary outcome of this study. MACE in patients with low (L) ( 2 had 52.6% sensitivity and 84.1% specificity (AUC: 0.752, P
ConclusionsClinical work-up is necessary to look for a cause of a spontaneous sublingual hematoma. Idiopathic spontaneous hematoma is only a rare entity. Aggressive airway management should be the first step in treatment. To date, there is no consensus about the management regarding the hematoma itself. Mostly, clinicians start with observation for spontaneous resolution of the hematoma and when possible to treat causative factors. Surgical drainage is performed when conservative treatment is not sufficient.

ConclusionThe polymorphisms Glu298Asp and C677T, affecting the eNOS and 5,10-MTHFR enzymes, respectively, and smoking, hypertension, and family history of stroke were associated with ischaemic stroke in young Mexican patients; this was not the case for the Thr325Ile, Ala147Thr, 4 G/5 G, and PLA1/A2 polymorphisms of the genes coding for fibrinolytic proteins and platelet receptors.ResumenIntroducciónDiversos polimorfismos en genes candidatos que codifican proteínas del sistema hemostático se han propuesto como factores de riesgo para el desarrollo de trombosis.MétodosCasos y controles, ...
In this study, in a quest for finding potent inhibitors of soluble epoxide hydrolase, some 4,6-disubstituted pyridin-2(1H)-one derivatives were designed and synthesized. The designed compounds fit properly in the active site pocket of this enzyme in docking studies and have appropriate distances for effective hydrogen binding to important amino acids Tyr383, Tyr466, and Asp335. The results of biological evaluation of these compounds against soluble epoxide hydrolase enzyme indicate most compounds have acceptable inhibitory activity and compound 9c is the most potent inhibitor with inhibitory activity of 86%.
