Mass. company acquires Colorado-based pharmaceutical business, renames it Azurity

Massachusetts pharmaceutical company CutisPharma Inc. has acquired Silvergate Pharmaceuticals Inc., creating a new, unified company called Azurity Pharmaceuticals, which will focus on meeting the needs of underserved patients, such as children and the elderly. Silvergate, which develops pediatric medications, was co-founded by Michael Beckloff in 2010 after he and several area organizations saw a lack of safe and accurate medication for children.
