Predictors of cardiomyopathy in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus with and without cardiovascular complications: A cross-sectional study

India leads the world with the largest number of diabetes patients, thereby known as “Diabetic Capital of the World”, having more than 62 million diabetic individuals diagnosed with the disease [1,2]. The rapid epidemiological transition associated with unhealthy dietary patterns, physical inactivity are considered as main drivers to give a higher prevalence of diabetes in the u rban population [3]. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is the commonest form of diabetes with a prevalence of 2.4% in the rural population and 11.6% in the urban population [4].
