ConclusionsCombined, these data uncover a new general mechanism by which ER stress promotes inflammation. Considering its potential involvement in the pathogenesis of diseases such as Crohn ’s disease and spondyloarthritis, targeting of this mechanism may provide new opportunities to counteract inflammation.
