Impact of Bridge to Transplant with Continuous Flow Left Ventricular Assist Devices on Post-Transplant Mortality: A Propensity Matched Analysis of the UNOS Database.

CONCLUSIONS: Bridge to HT with LVAD, while necessary due to organ scarcity and capable of improving waitlist survival, confers a significantly higher risk of early post-transplant mortality.
