Association of Outcomes and Socioeconomic Status in Mexican Patients Undergoing Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation
Worldwide, allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is widely used as a therapeutic approach to treat hematological diseases. However, the associated morbi-mortality is a concern. In this context, there are different factors, mostly clinical characteristics, associated with outcomes of allo-HSCT. Nonetheless, some patient and donor demographic variables have been described to have prognostic impact [1]. Further, since almost two decades, the socioeconomic status (SES) has been associated with outcomes in cancer [2].
