Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy Has the Same Operative Risk as Routine Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) is the treatment of choice for aldosteronomas and other adrenal tumors. Despite evidence that surgical cure of aldosteronomas is superior to medical treatment, reluctance remains to refer patients for LA. Here we compared the safety profile of LA to laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC), a commonly performed laparoscopic procedure.
