Egyptian liver library: An indexed database for liver disease evidence in Egypt
In conclusion; our results ring a bell inviting the development of a roadmap for liver research in Egypt targeting to put future policies to cover areas of weakness in liver research with an ultimate goal of tackling liver disease and its overwhelming socioeconomic burden in our developing country.
Halogenated boroxine dipotassium trioxohydroxytetrafluorotriborate K2[B3O3F4OH] inhibits emerging multidrug-resistant and β-lactamase-producing opportunistic pathogens. Drug Dev Ind Pharm. 2019 Aug 16;:1-21 Authors: Maravić A, Rončević T, Krce L, Ilić N, Galić B, Čikeš Čulić V, Carev I Abstract Halogenated boroxine dipotassium trioxohydroxytetrafluorotriborate, K2[B3O3F4OH] (boroxine) was previously shown to be very effective in inhibition of several carcinoma cell lines, including the skin cancer. Here, we investigated its antimicrobial potential by targeting the multidrug-resistan...
Conclusions Despite a limited number of patients, a male predominance and late-onset psoriasis were frequently observed. Although interferon therapy for HCV can exacerbate psoriasis, it is not contraindicated. All conventional treatments and anti-TNFs can be used, provided that there is strict collaboration with hepatologists. PMID: 31418622 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Conclusions/Importance: Anti-MJ messages designed to discourage use might heighten reactance and inadvertently lead to greater craving and intent to use. The link between reactance and craving may be more affectively mediated than the link between reactance and message rejection. PMID: 31418607 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Publication date: Available online 16 August 2019Source: Pharmacological ResearchAuthor(s): Xiaoge Gao, Mengxue Wei, Wenhua Shan, Qian Liu, Jian Gao, Yong Liu, Songlei Zhu, Hong YaoAbstractValidation of a small molecular compound targeting the oncogenic pathways is the primary approach for the development of the anti-cancer drugs. In the present study, we employed the computational mimic drug targets prediction software to foresee the molecular targets of a series of spirooxindole-pyrrolizidine derivatives, which were synthesized by our laboratory via targeted combinational chemistry. We found that CPHSP, a novel spirooxin...

ConclusionsResidual disease may be inconspicuous or absent on cytology, colposcopy and/or histology. Management taking account of risk of recurrence (age, CIN3 depth, incomplete initial excision) could avoid some post-treatment cancers.
This study will provide a theoretical basis for industrial applications of modified yam starch.
Publication date: December 2019Source: Food Packaging and Shelf Life, Volume 22Author(s): Manokaran Vadivel, Murugesan Sankarganesh, Jeyaraj Dhaveethu Raja, Jegathalaprathaban Rajesh, Dhanuskodi Mohanasundaram, Muthukaruppan AlagarAbstractThe prime objective of the present study is to develop a biodegradable food packaging hybrid film materials from renewable sources. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), chitosan (CS), xylan (CC) and hydroxyapatite (nHA) were used as the sources of bio-degradable polymer and curcumin (Cur) as antioxidant agent to prepare an intelligent packaging PVA/CS/CC/nHA hybrid film (PCC) to assess the fish fresh...
Prosecco, which has soared in popularity in recent years, has been named as the worst alcoholic drink for oral health due to the mix of bubbles, alcohol and sugar.
In this study, 13-15-months-old Holstein-Friesian steers were immunised with a subunit vaccine as a prime and a modified vaccinia Ankara vector as a boost, both expressing a chimeric multi-antigen (rMABbo – rMVA). This antigen includes the immunodominant B and T cell epitopes of three B. bovis proteins: merozoite surface antigen - 2c (MSA - 2c), rhoptry associated protein 1 (RAP - 1) and heat shock protein 20 (HSP20). Responses were compared with the Babesia bovis live attenuated vaccine used in Argentina (R1A). Eleven weeks after the first immunisation, all bovines were challenged by the inoculation of a virulent B....
