Comparison of FDG PET/CT and CT in response assessment and prognosis of patients with extra medullary disease in acute myeloid leukemia
Conclusions: AML is usually associated with significant unidentified extra-medullary disease. PET/CT is able to identify more lesions and more metabolically progressive disease than CT alone, thus impacting management. Among semi quantitative parameters only TBR is able to differentiate between response categories.
