The association between activated brown adipose tissue and blood lipid levels
Conclusions: BAT activation causes lipolysis which results in heat generation. In this study, we show that circulating levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL generally increase over the course of cold exposure and tend to increase more in volunteers with higher levels of activated BAT.
