Psoriatic epidermis is associated with upregulation of CDK2 and inhibition of CDK4 activity.

CONCLUSIONS: Compared to uninvolved skin, epidermal CDK2 activity was found to be increased in psoriatic epidermis while CDK4 activity was inhibited. These alterations involve post-translational control mediated by p16 overexpression and decreased expression of p27, respectively. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
