Study: Pathologist workforce decreased 17% between 2007 and 2017

...Yet we still hear about trainees having difficulty finding jobs. To me this is concerning. The paper suggests that while the number of new cancer cases (per pathologist) increased by 41% during the same time period, this may have been offset by increased efficiency (laboratory consolidation, new IT, etc.) and/or pressure to read more cases.
