Acute exanthemas: a prospective study of 98 adult patients with emphasis of cytokinic and metagenomic investigation.
CONCLUSION: Routine investigations revealed HHV6 as the most frequent. Histology did not discriminate MPEs. In idiopathic MPE, the alarmin IL-33 could suggest an environmental factor as a trigger. Results of metagenomic analysis in skin samples question the interest of routine PCR and viral serologies. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
