Inertial wearables as pragmatic tools in dementia

Dementia is a common disorder in older adults where the major subtypes include Alzheimer ’s disease and vascular dementia [1]. Traditional tests designed to diagnose neurodegenerative disorders are often delayed in detecting abnormalities in cognitive decline in the earliest stages of the disease [2]. Hence, there is a need for robust pragmatic and objective tools to aid clinical deci sions.
