Poor Broadband Access in Rural Areas Limits Telemedicine Use: Study

A new study shows that broadband access in rural areas limits the ability of rural residents to use telehealth for accessing psychiatrists and primary care physicians. The research found that the same areas without enough psychiatrists and primary care physicians were also less likely to have sufficient internet speeds for video-based telehealth.
