Pregnancy: How Long To Wait Once Tubes Untied

A member of the Tubal Reversal Message Board of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center says she is discouraged and feels very stressed out after seven months of trying to conceive. Pregnancy will happen after tubal reversal for the majority of reversal patients and most women do not get a positive pregnancy test until six to twelve months after having their tubes untied. Dr. Gary Berger and Dr. Charles Monteith recommend waiting that length of time before considering testing to check for tubal blockage. Most women will become pregnant within a year after having their tubal reversal performed by Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith and will not need any additional fertility testing.
