Structure and mechanical properties of NiCrSiB coatings, reinforced by hard Nb-based particles, cladded by electron beam, revealed in the air

By variation of NiCrSiB-alloy/(Nb-B)-addition ratio (0-35 wt. %of (Nb-B)-compound) in the initial powder mixtures different phase composition of cladded coatings was obtained. Microhardness and wear resistance were measured to estimate quality of surface layers. The coating, cladded with maximum of Nb and B addiction (35 wt. %) demonstrates the highest level of these properties.
