Senate passes change to Death with Dignity Act

While one controversial bill to modify Oregon ’s Death with Dignity Act appears to be stalled in a legislative committee, another is moving forward. Senate Bill 549, which passed the Senate in a 16-11 vote on Monday, waives the 15-day waiting period between the two required oral requests for life-ending medication.
