[Infantile haemangioma: an update]. Hautarzt. 2019 May 17;: Authors: Reimer A, Ott H Abstract Infantile haemangioma (IH) are the most frequent skin tumors in childhood. The diagnosis is usually established from the clinical picture and typical course of growth. Sectional imaging procedures are indicated in segmental, especially facial haemangiomas. The vast majority of IH are uncomplicated and do not require any treatment. In complicated IH, treatment should be initiated as soon as possible in order to avoid permanent damage. Propranolol is the treatment of choice for complicated IH. PMID: 31101924 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
