Abstract Nausea is a bothersome symptom that is commonly seen in the pediatric population. The pathophysiology of nausea is complex and involves the central nervous system, the enteric nervous system, gastrointestinal tract motility, and psychologic influences. Pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies are available for treating nausea.
