Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer, accounting for only 1-5% of breast cancer diagnoses but up to 10% of breast cancer deaths annually in the United States. ConclusionsWe identified novel risk factors for IBC and non-IBC, some of which preferentially increased risk of IBC compared to non-IBC. Upon confirmation, these findings could help illuminate the etiology and aid in prevention of this aggressive cancer.
