To the Editor — Augmenting speed of conduction to improve CRT

We read with great interest the article by Yagishita et  al,1 which documents the correlation of the S-QRS interval (left ventricular pacing stimulus to QRS onset) with response to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). It appears that slowed local conduction in the left ventricle (possibly from local scar formation) is associated with impaired respon ses. The advice is to search to avoid using left ventricular lead implantation site positions giving rise to long such intervals.
