CK is considered to be a drug target in treatment of osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Comprehensive application of quantitative structure–activity relationships (QSAR), molecular docking and absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity (ADMET) prediction was conducted for designing and screening for po...

CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggested that miR-26a-5p has a complementary role in cells proliferation, invasion and apoptosis of RA-FLS, which may be attributed to its activation effect on PI3K/AKT signaling pathway via targeting PTEN. miR-26a-5p is likely to be a clinically helpful target for novel therapeutic strategies in RA. Authors: Oba R, Isomura M, Igarashi A, Nagata K Abstract Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are known to contain unique proteins that reflect the cells of origins. Activated T cells are reported to secrete various EVs. To establish T cell subset-specific biomarkers, we performed proteomic analysis with Th1- and Th2-derived EVs and identified HLA-DR as a Th1-dominated EV membrane protein. We designed a measurement system for CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, and CD3+HLA-DR+ EVs to specifically determine EV subpopulations derived from CD4+, CD8+, and Th1-type T cells, respectively. In vitro analysis showed that CD3+CD4+ EVs and CD3+CD8+...

ConclusionFasinumab provided improvements in OA pain and function, even in those benefitting little from previous analgesic. The observed “benefit to risk” relationship favors further clinical development to explore the lowest doses of fasinumab. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

ConclusionTwenty years after open rotator cuff repair, the rate of osteoarthritis was 29%. Massive rotator cuff tears were significantly associated with a higher rate of osteoarthritis. Less osteoarthritis was observed when suprasupinatus healed.Level of evidenceIV.
