Functional transepithelial transport measurements to detect nephrotoxicity in vitro using the RPTEC/TERT1 cell line.
In conclusion, these data demonstrate that functional parameters are important, highly sensitive and meaningful additional readouts for nephrotoxicity assessment in human renal proximal tubule epithelial cells.
