The predictive factors affecting false positive in on-site operated CT-fractional flow reserve based on fluid and structural interaction

ConclusionsThe presence of calcified plaque exerted a significant effect on the diagnostic performance of CT-FFR, and did so independently of the degree of calcification indicated by the Agatston score.

Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the size of the CNV lesion as measured on either commercially available spectral domain OCTA device. Both devices were comparable in their detection of CNV lesions on manual adjustment of segmentation lines. However, their automated segmentation algorithms need improvement to allow for accurate measurement of CNV lesions for routine clinical application.

Purpose: To assess foveal and parafoveal vasculature at the superficial capillary plexus, deep capillary plexus, and choriocapillaris of patients with X-linked retinoschisis by means of optical coherence tomography angiography. Methods: Six patients with X-linked retinoschisis (12 eyes) and seven healthy controls (14 eyes) were recruited and underwent complete ophthalmologic examination, including best-corrected visual acuity, dilated fundoscopy, and 3 × 3-mm optical coherence tomography angiography macular scans (DRI OCT Triton; Topcon Corp). After segmentation and quality review, optical coherence tomography a...

In conclusion, PACAP27 induced headache and dilated extracerebral arteries (>5 h) and slightly constricted MCA in healthy volunteers. Post hoc analysis of PACAP38 data compared with PACAP27 showed that PACAP isoforms dilates MMA with significantly different magnitude.

Navya Cherukuri, Bhavik Panchal, Hrishikesh Kaza, Shreyansh Doshi, Avinash PathengayIndian Journal of Ophthalmology 2019 67(9):1494-1496 A 46-year-old male presented with best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of 20/125 in his right eye. Fundus showed disc edema, multiple yellow outer retinal crops, macular edema and a live motile worm in the subretinal space. Diagnosis of diffuse unilateral subacute neuroretinitis (DUSN) was made and pattern scanning laser photocoagulation (PSLP) was performed along with administration of oral albendazole, diethylcarbamazine and corticosteroids. Complete disappearance of the worm was observ...

ConclusionCardiac high-pitch CTA of neonates with CHD can be performed safely and dose-reducing without additional test bolus or bolus tracking scan. With very good image quality, it provides a detailed insight into the cardiac anatomy and thus enables a differentiated, noninvasive therapy planning.

We present a case series in which 5 eyes of 3 patients with Eales disease were evaluated by using retinal fluorescein angiography with 30 º, 50º, and 150º lenses in a laser-scanning ophthalmoscope. These cases highlight the usefulness of wide-field fluorescein angiography in the diagnosis and follow-up of peripheral ischemic retinal areas in Eales disease, which enables better follow-up than possible with conventional fluorescein a ngiography images.RESUMO A angiografia de campo amplo permite avaliar áreas periféricas com melhor qualidade e proporciona maior foco profundo, melhorando a imagem d...

First description in the literature of incidental saddle pulmonary embolus diagnosed on18F ‐labelled fluoro‐2‐deoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography by seeing pulmonary infarction and right‐sided myocardial uptake. This will alert clinicians about the importance of these signs and direct emergent of further investigation and therapy. 18F ‐labelled fluoro‐2‐deoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F ‐FDG PET/CT) is used extensively in the setting of cancer staging and in assessing cancer treatment response. Oncology patients have a sevenfold risk of developing p...

ConclusionsA panel of experts on the imaging of GI bleeding from the Society of Abdominal Radiology was able to reach consensus on the majority of technical parameters used for CTA of overt GI bleeding. These recommendations should improve the quality of patient care by adopting these minimal technical requirements for optimal exam performance and lead to less variation in the performance of these exams which will facilitate collecting and comparing published data from different centers. These recommendations will need revisions as additional scientific data become available.
