The Arab Spring in Tunisia came from the people

(University of Copenhagen - Faculty of Humanities) Last Sunday, Tunisia held its second presidential election since the revolution that toppled president Ben Ali in January 2011. In her Ph.D. thesis, researcher in Middle East Studies, Rikke Hostrup Haugbølle investigates the mechanisms that led to the Tunisian people being the first in the region to rebel against their government.
