ConclusionsWomen experiencing second-trimester miscarriage are at increased risk in subsequent pregnancies of recurrence. Second-trimester miscarriage needs to be highlighted as a risk factor for adverse pregnancy outcomes. Greater research into its pathophysiology is required to advance preventative measures.
