Transcatheter Double Valve Replacement of an Aortic and Mitral Valve in the Native Annulus

Surgical techniques for valve replacement have evolved substantially over time, from open sternotomy approaches to minimally invasive cardiac surgery to robotic procedures. However, all techniques involve incisions and can never be less invasive than percutaneous technology. In recent years, significant advancement in percutaneous technology became widely available for percutaneous valve replacement. This is most evident in transcatheter Aortic valve replacement surpassing open AVR beginning of 2016.
