Spontaneous Chyluria Treated with Retrograde Embolization via Direct Thoracic Duct Access at the Left Neck
This case report was exempt from approval by the authors ’ institutional review board. A 65-year-old male with no significant past medical history presented with a 6-month history of cloudy urine and white clumps that were more evident in the morning. Infectious disease work-up, which included filariasis work-up, was negative. Evaluation by a urologist found that the patient had nonmetastatic prostate cancer. Urine was sent for a chyluria screen (triglycerides and chylomicrons), which was positive.
