226 Using a skin cancer polygenic risk score to stratify high- and low-risk individuals

Skin cancers, comprised chiefly of basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanoma, are the most common malignancies in the United States, arising in an estimated one in seven Americans during their lifetime. There is a need to identify at-risk individuals for targeted screening and prevention efforts. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified inherited genetic variants associated with skin cancer. Using GWAS data, we created a polygenic risk score (PRS) to stratify individuals into high- and low-risk categories based on their genetic profiles.
