285 Clinical characteristics of chronic itch and pain in patients with fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by chronic widespread pain, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbances, fatigue, and often psychological distress with a global mean prevalence of 2.7%. The prevalence and characteristics of chronic itch in fibromyalgia has not been extensively studied, but a previous study determined chronic itch to be present in 3.3% patients. We administered a cross-sectional survey on chronic itch and pain to obtain information on fibromyalgia patients seen at the Rheumatology Clinic of Riddle Memorial Hospital from 2016 to 2018.
