'From my point of view, my wife has recovered': A qualitative investigation of caregivers' perceptions of recovery and peer support services for people with bipolar disorder in a Chinese community.

CONCLUSION: Social connectedness and functional outcomes were important indicators of recovery among Chinese family caregivers. Caregivers began to understand the benefits of PSWs after experiencing their services. Peer-led services could be a helpful support for both service users and family caregivers. The objective of this study is to improve the corrosion resistance of nickel bipolar plate by means of conductive polymer coating. Typically, polypyrrole film has been electrodeposited using chronopotentiometric technique at different current densities in aqueous sodium saccharin medium. The electrochemical behaviour of nickel in the presence of sodium saccharinate solution in the absence and the presence of the pyrrole monomer were investigated using cyclic voltammetry. Characterization of the polypyrrole coating was carried out using x-ray photoelectrons (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Corrosion behavior of...

This study examined aspects of psychiatry comorbidity in Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) in order to explore the validity of IED in the context of other psychiatric disorders. Data from the National Comorbidity Study – Revised (NCS-R: n = 9,282 adults) and its Adolescent Supplement (NCS-AS: n = 10,148 adolescents) and a large clinical research data set (n = 1640) were analyzed in this study. Mean number of comorbid disorders among current IED participants was similar to that among other Non-IED disorders and comorbidity of IED with Non-IED disorders was similar to comorbidity among Non-IED disorders...

The addition of BZT has not led to deviation of rhombohedral-tetragonal morphotropic phase boundary, but apparently composition-dependent electrical property and monotonously improved thermal stability. The x = 0.02 has the optimal electrical property with remnant ...

Control on process cost, increment of pollutant removal efficiency, and multi-system applicability are key points which should be carefully considered. Here in this work, a novel method of ‘water splitting coagulation (WSC)’, which involves the synchronous treatment of two kinds of wastewater that contain metal and or...

Reported prevalences of co-occurring mental health or psychiatric conditions in people with autism range widely. Improved prevalence estimates and identification of moderators are needed to enhance recognition and care, and to guide future research.MethodsIn this systematic review and meta-analysis...

A large body of work implicates cytokines and their related pathways in the pathophysiologies of mood disorders. Much of the data on the role of cytokines in major depression and bipolar disorder suggest pathways regulated by tumor necrosis factor ‐α make a significant contribution to their pathophysiologies. Here, we propose that the tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 is a potential target for antidepressant drug design. AbstractA large body of work implicates cytokines and their related pathways in the pathophysiologies of mood disorders. Much of the data on the role of cytokines in major depression and bipola...

According to USAToday, nearly 21 million Americans struggle with substance addictions. That’s more than the number of people who have all cancers combined, and can mean 1 in 7 people will eventually suffer from an addiction. With such an epidemic in place, it is important to understand how the process of healing from an addiction works. This means learning what types of luxury treatment programs are available and asking questions like, how long is a luxury treatment program? Typically, luxury treatment programs can last anywhere from 30-90 days, depending on many factors. What Determines How Long a Luxury Treatment ...

Here, a transient memristor with the MgO thin film as resistive dielectric material and the Ni as electrode material is reported. The memristor shows reversible and nonvolatile bipolar resistive switching performance, narrow distribution of low resistance state (LRS) and high resistance state (HRS), uniform switching voltages and stable retention at room temperature. It is indicated...

This disease occurs most commonly in males of the age group of fewer than 40 years and has no genetic predisposition. It most commonly affects the skull, spine, pelvis and shoulder girdle. The diagnosis of GSD is established based on the combination of clinical, radiologic, and histological features, after excluding other disease...
