Establishment and Verification of a Bagged-Trees-Based Model for Prediction of Sentinel Lymph Node Metastasis for Early Breast Cancer Patients

Conclusions: Our model is more reliable and stable to assist doctors predict the SLN metastasis in breast cancer patients before operation. Introduction The incidence of breast cancer is the first in female malignant tumors, in which the highest incidence of breast cancer has been reported in Europe and the United States, however, in recent years, the incidence of breast cancer in China has annually increased (1, 2). Based on surgery as an important step in the treatment of breast cancer, in recent years, different individuals have never stopped exploration of a novel and optimum approach. Besides, NSABP-04, ASCOG-Z0011, and other tests have shown that for breast cancer patients with T1-T2 stage and clinical negative lymph node (cN0) during breast preservation surgery and total breast radiotherapy, axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) does not contain great benefits to the long-term survival of patients. As a result, sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has been gradually replaced with conventional ALND as a routine surgical method for early breast cancer patients (3–7). However, SLNB, as an invasive operation, leads to some postoperative complications. Although the corresponding incidence rate is lower than ALND, however, those complications should not be ignored. Moreover, SLNB has a high degree of professional requirement for physicians, and the richness of physician's experience directly affects the evaluation of the pathological status of sentinel lym...

Conclusions: Maternal serum TG/HDL levels at late gestation are positively associated with neonatal body weight and the risk of macrosomia in women without DM. Maintaining maternal lipid levels in an appropriate range is important in the context of fetal overgrowth and primary prevention of macrosomia. PMID: 32655633 [PubMed]

Authors: Zhao ZH, Zhou Y, Li WH, Tang ZH, Xia TW, Han-Li Abstract Objective: The efficacy of auricular acupressure in patients with hypertension and insomnia is controversial. This systematic review aims to explore the effectiveness of auricular acupressure in reducing blood pressure and improving sleep in this population. Methods: We conducted an extensive database search in Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, Ovid LWW, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database, Wanfang Data, and China Science and Technology Journal Database on rand...

Authors: Wang L, Xu M, Zheng Q, Zhang W, Li Y Abstract Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for functional constipation (FC). Methods: A rigorous literature search was performed in English (PubMed, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, and EMBASE) and Chinese (China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Biological Medical (CBM), Wanfang database, and China Science and Technology Journal (VIP)) electronic databases from their inception to October 2019. Included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) compared acupuncture therapy with sham acupunct...

Conclusion: In this work, we have successfully illuminated that Qubi Formula could relieve a wide variety of pathological factors (such as inflammatory infiltration and abnormal angiogenesis) of psoriasis in a "multicompound, multitarget, and multipathway" manner by using network pharmacology. Moreover, our present outcomes might shed light on the further clinical application of QBF on psoriasis treatment. PMID: 32655662 [PubMed]

Authors: Feng Z, Feng Z, Han J, Cheng W, Su B, Mo J, Feng X, Feng S, Chen G, Huang P, Huang L, Cui Z Abstract Shenling Baizhu additive powder (SLBZ-AP), a formulation of a variety of natural medicinal plants, has clinical efficacy in treating cancers in previous studies. We explored the effect of SLBZ-AP in bone metastasis of lung cancer (BMLC) mice, and the possible mechanism involved was further investigated in the present study. Mice model of BMLC was made and treated with SLBZ-AP. Pain behavioral tests were performed to explore the effect on BMLC-induced pain in mice. TUNEL staining was used to investigate apop...

This study examined the effects of SWHP on ameliorating anxiety-like behaviors by regulating endocannabinoids system (ECS)-brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)-extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK) signaling pathway expression, induced by restraint stress (RS) procedures. The antianxiety effects of SWHP on RS rats were then examined through the open-field test (OF) and the elevated plus maze test (EPM). The concentration of BNDF, ERK1/2, p-ERK1/2, cAMP-response element binding protein (CREB), and p-CREB expression in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus of the rats was then measured by western blot. The number...
